The UI Designer is responsible for transforming wireframes and user flows into polished, high-fidelity interfaces that delight users and reinforce brand identity. Working within a cross-functional team of UX designers, product managers, and engineers, this role ensures visual consistency, accessibility, and responsiveness across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
You will take concepts from low-fi sketches to interactive prototypes in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, iterating designs based on user feedback, analytics insights, and stakeholder reviews. In addition to crafting individual screens, you will help build and maintain a scalable design system—defining reusable components, design tokens, and style guidelines to accelerate future development.
Key Responsibilities:
- High-Fidelity Mockups & Prototypes
- Create pixel-perfect screens and interactive prototypes in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Define typography, color palettes, iconography, and spacing that align with brand standards
- Design System Development
- Build and document reusable UI components, design tokens, and pattern libraries
- Maintain versioned Figma libraries or Storybook repositories for cross-team use
- Responsive & Adaptive Design
- Ensure designs adapt seamlessly across breakpoints (desktop, tablet, mobile)
- Optimize layouts and assets for performance and device constraints
- Accessibility & Usability
- Apply WCAG 2.1 best practices for color contrast, semantic structure, and keyboard navigation
- Conduct basic accessibility audits and coordinate with developers on fixes
- Collaboration & Handoff
- Provide developers with clear specs, redlines, and asset exports (SVG, PNG)
- Participate in design reviews, stand-ups, and sprint planning to align on priorities
- Iteration & Improvement
- Gather feedback from usability tests, analytics (heatmaps, click data), and stakeholder input
- Refine designs based on data and evolving product requirements
Success in this role is measured by the consistency and quality of the UI across products, developer satisfaction with handoff deliverables, adherence to accessibility standards, and improvements in front-end performance and user engagement metrics. Continuous refinement of the design system and staying current with interface trends and tooling are essential.
