The SEO Specialist is responsible for developing and executing on-site and off-site search engine optimization strategies that increase organic traffic, improve keyword rankings, and drive high-quality leads. This role collaborates closely with Content, Development, and Marketing teams to ensure technical best practices, content relevancy, and link-building initiatives are aligned with overall business goals and industry trends.

In this position, the SEO Specialist performs regular site audits to identify crawl errors, optimization opportunities, and performance bottlenecks. They translate data into actionable recommendations—working hand-in-hand with web developers to implement schema markup, optimize site speed, and resolve indexing issues. Content teams rely on the SEO Specialist for keyword research, topic ideation, and on-page optimization guidelines that boost visibility and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits (crawl analysis, site architecture, mobile usability, Core Web Vitals) and oversee remediation plans
  • Develop and maintain a data-driven keyword strategy, identifying high-value opportunities and long-tail variations to target in new and existing content
  • Provide on-page optimization recommendations: title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, image alt text, internal linking, and schema markup
  • Plan and execute white-hat link-building campaigns, including outreach to industry publications, guest blogging, and digital PR initiatives
  • Monitor organic performance through Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and third-party tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz), producing regular reports on traffic, rankings, and conversion metrics
  • Collaborate with Content teams to create SEO-friendly guidelines, ensuring new pages and blog posts align with best practices
  • Partner with Development and DevOps to implement technical fixes, site migrations, and enhancements to server response times and mobile responsiveness

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience driving measurable organic growth in B2B or B2C environments
  • Expert proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript fundamentals, and the impact of site performance on SEO
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with Google Analytics 4 and behavior-flow analysis to inform optimization decisions
  • Excellent communication and project-management abilities to align cross-functional teams around SEO priorities
  • Up-to-date knowledge of search engine algorithm changes, emerging SEO trends, and industry best practices

Success in this role is measured by improvements in organic search rankings, increases in qualified organic traffic, uplift in SEO-driven leads, and the seamless integration of SEO best practices into broader marketing and product roadmaps.
