The eCommerce Marketing Manager is responsible for driving online revenue through end-to-end management of the digital commerce funnel. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution—overseeing site merchandising, acquisition channels, lifecycle marketing, and conversion optimization to meet or exceed sales and profitability targets.

Working closely with merchandising, UX, analytics, and operations teams, the eCommerce Marketing Manager implements data-driven tactics across web, mobile, and affiliate channels. Collaboration ensures that promotions, product launches, and seasonal campaigns are executed flawlessly and that customer experiences are continually refined to boost average order value and repeat purchase rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee eCommerce platform configurations (Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce) including catalog updates, pricing, and inventory promotions
  • Develop and optimize multi-channel acquisition strategies—paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, and affiliate—to drive qualified traffic
  • Design and automate lifecycle email and SMS programs (welcome series, cart recovery, re-engagement, upsell) using Klaviyo, Braze, or similar tools
  • Conduct A/B and multivariate tests on site elements (product pages, checkout flows, navigation) with Optimizely, VWO, or equivalent platforms
  • Analyze KPIs (conversion rate, average order value, revenue per visitor, cart abandonment) and generate actionable insights via dashboards and reports
  • Coordinate with UX/UI teams to enhance site usability, mobile responsiveness, and personalization features
  • Manage relationships with external partners—affiliate networks, agencies, payment processors—to maximize channel performance

Success in this role is measured by improvements in conversion, revenue growth, customer retention, and the efficiency of marketing spend.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 4+ years of eCommerce or digital marketing experience in a B2C or B2B2C environment
  • Proven track record with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento) and marketing automation tools (Klaviyo, Braze)
  • Strong analytical proficiency—SQL, Google Analytics, and BI tools (Looker, Tableau)—for diagnosing performance and forecasting
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing frameworks and UX optimization methodologies
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional communication skills to drive complex initiatives to completion
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, site speed optimization, and accessibility standards is a plus
