This role applies software engineering principles to operations, eliminating manual processes with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing, and robust monitoring to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and highly available.

Collaborating closely with Development, QA, and Security teams, the DevOps Engineer implements end-to-end CI/CD workflows, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure management. They proactively identify and remediate bottlenecks in the delivery pipeline, lead incident response efforts, and drive post-mortem analyses to continuously improve system resilience and developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI
  • Define and manage infrastructure with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Pulumi
  • Deploy and operate containerized workloads on Docker and Kubernetes clusters, including Helm chart development
  • Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog) to ensure observability and SLA compliance
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and backups with scripts (Python, Bash) and automation frameworks
  • Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response, conduct root-cause analyses, and implement remediation plans
  • Collaborate with Security to integrate vulnerability scanning, secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and compliance checks into the pipeline

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role supporting production systems
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and managed services (EC2, S3, RDS, GKE/AKS)
  • Strong experience with container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) and container tooling (Docker, Helm)
  • Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) for repeatable environment provisioning
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog) and best practices for alerting
  • Solid scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash to build custom automation and operational tools
  • Excellent collaborative and communication skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
