The Content Marketing Manager leads the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy designed to attract, engage, and convert target audiences across the buyer’s journey. This role owns the editorial vision—identifying high-value topics, managing production workflows, and ensuring every asset aligns with brand voice, SEO best practices, and business objectives.
Collaborating closely with Product, SEO, Design, and Demand Generation teams, the Content Marketing Manager transforms complex concepts into clear, compelling content—blogs, whitepapers, case studies, video scripts, and more. By measuring performance and iterating on insights, this role continuously refines messaging to drive traffic, generate qualified leads, and support revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an editorial calendar that balances thought leadership, SEO-driven content, and demand-gen campaigns
- Produce and/or manage creation of diverse content formats: blog posts, ebooks, infographics, webinars, and video scripts
- Conduct keyword research and work with SEO specialists to optimize on-page elements, topic clusters, and internal linking
- Collaborate with design and multimedia teams to ensure visual assets enhance storytelling and brand consistency
- Repurpose long-form content into email newsletters, social posts, and sales enablement collateral
- Measure content performance (traffic, engagement, MQLs, backlinks) using Google Analytics, Ahrefs, or similar tools; report insights and recommendations
- Lead content reviews and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, deadlines, and governance guidelines
Qualifications & Skills:
- 4+ years of B2B content marketing or journalism experience, preferably in a technology or services environment
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, with a portfolio demonstrating a range of content types
- Strong SEO understanding and hands-on experience with tools like Surfer SEO, SEMrush, or Clearscope
- Proven project-management skills: coordinating writers, designers, and external agencies to hit launch dates
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into clear recommendations and refine strategy based on performance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to align multiple stakeholders around a unified content vision
